Tanya Goehring is an Editorial and Commercial photographer based in Vancouver, BC. Over the last decade, Tanya has worked
with clients and subjects from around the globe, from Paris to Los Angeles to Vancouver. They include consumer brands,
ad agencies, fashion labels, film studios, art galleries, local celebrities, and restaurants.
Tanya’s work has received numerous industry awards, including being named one of Applied Art’s Young Blood Talents,
New Talent & Photography Merit titles from the Creative Quarterly Journal of Arts and Design and the
2014 Applied Arts Photography Award from Applied Arts, for which she was featured on the cover.
Tanya is known for her approachable and down-to-earth manner when shooting, and has been told she has the ability to put
even the most camera-shy subjects at ease. But when it comes to the final result, she’s admittedly very technically driven,
and strives to produce images with a strong, distinct composition and with careful attention to detail.
When she’s not shooting or working on images, she’s filming music videos or performing live with her life partner,
Trevor, as part of their techno audiovisual project The Automatic Message. Their passion for music and art
led to them founding and curating Render: The Vancouver International Music Video Festival.
